"Now Mount Sinai was all in smoke because the Lord descended upon it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked violently."

The Lord has a way, for believer and nonbeliever alike, to shake things up. For we, the children of God, it may a call, a reminder for us to keep our eyes on Him. So often, we look away, looking at a situation. It may be a relationship, a work situation, health or financial related or the uncertainty of the future. Whatever it may be, the Lord would have us with our focus on Him. Much of the time we have no control over any of the previously mentioned, and this is where our faith is tested. Uncomfortable as it is, it's much better than an almost hopeless resolve that this is how it is, as for the one without the expectation of good things to come in Christ. In 1 Peter 5:7, we find the assurance "casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you."

Ministry Opportunities - Amidst the Covid and its variants that have run through the world this last year or so, may go through a variety of differing scenarios. Some go on as they have, others with waning confidence in the vaccine, still many fear filled, others with cautious methodical movement, some still healing from the effects of Covid, others going through financial, health or family issues. The variations are multiplied by the changes. In all of this child of God, look for the opportunities to share a word of encouragement, to offer to pray and to share the love of Christ.
