Shepherd to Sheep

1 John 2:13c-14

"I have written to you, children, because you know the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who was from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one."

As the aged John writes the church family, he addresses a broad spectrum of varying ages and more likely states of maturity. Generations of believers have grown up under the Lord's watchful under shepherd, and he again seeks to remind them of where they have come, and where they are going. Trial, temptation, pseudo success, and even fear sought to bring a separation from the basics of the love and faithfulness of God. The reminder here, is of the knowledge of the Father, strength in Him, and a resolute, unshakeable trust in Him , that will bring the child of God through the times of testing.

Opportunities (10/05/2025)

Women's Prayer - Happens this Saturday the 11th, here at the chapel at 7:30 a.m. Join the men for worship, and then break off with the other ladies in the overflow for a time of prayer.

Don't Take a Prayer Need Home With You - Right after the service, men and women are available to pray for any need you may have. Don't leave church without receiving prayer.

Prayer Points

Lahaina Recovery - Continue to keep in prayer the people of Lahaina and for the entirety of Maui. Long term effects and status of rebuilding, housing for the displaced, job recovery and financial ramifications all come into recovery efforts.

River of Life Mission - Continue to keep the ROLM in prayer during their ongoing outreach into the community. Keep the staff as well as the guests and ministry partners in prayer.

California Wildfire - Continue to pray for the many families affected by the fires.

East Coast - Continue to pray for the ongoing hurricane relief work on the east coast.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem - As the Middle East heats up, pray for the nation of Israel along with all of those in this region who have come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
