As the priest along with the offeror could partake of a portion of the offering sacrificed at the temple, the meal was always flavored with an admixture of the legalism of the law. Rigid, with possibly the flavor of the resentment of having to do so. Whereas, the Christian coming before the Lord's Table, sitting or reclined, in a position of ease, rest and safety, no longer incumbered by the law, enjoying the love and grace of Jesus. The emblems of the bread and the cup, which we freely partake of, now reminding us of His completed work on the cross, done on our behalf.

Women's Prayer - Happens this Saturday the 11th, here at the chapel at 7:30 a.m. Join the men for worship, and then break off with the other ladies in the overflow for a time of prayer.

Don't Take a Prayer Need Home With You - Right after the service, men and women are available to pray for any need you may have. Don't leave church without receiving prayer.

Prayer Points

Lahaina Recovery - Continue to keep in prayer the people of Lahaina and for the entirety of Maui. Long term effects and status of rebuilding, housing for the displaced, job recovery and financial ramifications all come into recovery efforts.

River of Life Mission - Continue to keep the ROLM in prayer during their ongoing outreach into the community. Keep the staff as well as the guests and ministry partners in prayer.

California Wildfire - Continue to pray for the many families affected by the fires.

East Coast - Continue to pray for the ongoing hurricane relief work on the east coast.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem - As the Middle East heats up, pray for the nation of Israel along with all of those in this region who have come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
