"....please let me strike him with the spear to the ground with one stroke, and I will not strike him the second time."

David, now in the midst of the camp of Saul, finds himself in a tempting place. Take out the one who has pursued him endlessly for such a long time, or trust the Lord to work things out. As easy as it would have been to strike Saul, David showed great respect for the king, but even more reverence for the Lord who had set Saul in place. David could not bring himself to move before God, and take the easy way out. Here we find one who showed great restraint, waiting on and trusting that He would work all things out to His glory. For us, a great example of God's grace going before His people.

Women's Prayer - Happens this Saturday the 11th, here at the chapel at 7:30 a.m. Join the men for worship, and then break off with the other ladies in the overflow for a time of prayer.

Don't Take a Prayer Need Home With You - Right after the service, men and women are available to pray for any need you may have. Don't leave church without receiving prayer.

Prayer Points

Lahaina Recovery - Continue to keep in prayer the people of Lahaina and for the entirety of Maui. Long term effects and status of rebuilding, housing for the displaced, job recovery and financial ramifications all come into recovery efforts.

River of Life Mission - Continue to keep the ROLM in prayer during their ongoing outreach into the community. Keep the staff as well as the guests and ministry partners in prayer.

California Wildfire - Continue to pray for the many families affected by the fires.

East Coast - Continue to pray for the ongoing hurricane relief work on the east coast.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem - As the Middle East heats up, pray for the nation of Israel along with all of those in this region who have come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
