Now Zerah the Ethiopians came out against them with an army of a million men and 300 chariots, and he came to Mareshah. Then Asa called to the Lord his God, and said "Lord there is no one besides Thee to help in the battle between the powerful and those who have no strength; so the Lord will do for us, so help us O Lord our God, for we trust in Thee, and in Thy name we have come against this multitude."
If you even begin to imagine an army of a million men advancing towards you, you begin to see the fear that struck the hearts of the men of Judah. Overwhelming odds, overwhelming numbers struck at the hearts of all those who saw. The sound of the marching feet, the flash of the armor, the long lances standing upright all added up to an awesome overwhelming sight. Asa would turn to the Lord, and we see in verse 12 that the Lord would rout the Ethiopians. So, for us today, at times the enemy seeks to overwhelm, yet as we trust the Lord, it's He who shows Himself faithful in all situations.

Women's Prayer - Happens this Saturday the 11th, here at the chapel at 7:30 a.m. Join the men for worship, and then break off with the other ladies in the overflow for a time of prayer.
Don't Take a Prayer Need Home With You - Right after the service, men and women are available to pray for any need you may have. Don't leave church without receiving prayer.

Lahaina Recovery - Continue to keep in prayer the people of Lahaina and for the entirety of Maui. Long term effects and status of rebuilding, housing for the displaced, job recovery and financial ramifications all come into recovery efforts.
River of Life Mission - Continue to keep the ROLM in prayer during their ongoing outreach into the community. Keep the staff as well as the guests and ministry partners in prayer.
California Wildfire - Continue to pray for the many families affected by the fires.
East Coast - Continue to pray for the ongoing hurricane relief work on the east coast.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem - As the Middle East heats up, pray for the nation of Israel along with all of those in this region who have come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
