"Then the heads of fathers' households of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and Levites arose, and even everyone whose spirit of God had stirred to go up and rebuild the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem."
It was as now and before, as it is today, that the Spirit of God was the great motivator in all of His works. People can jump aboard, spurred on by wanting to do great works in their own power, yet lack the key element for fulfillment, the moving and leading of the Holy Spirit. It's when we are weak, He is strong, it's when we have no ability, He is able to do in and through us. Willing hearts, when moved by the Spirit make for a work unto His glory.
