Shepherd to Sheep

Exodus 2:6

When she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the boy was crying. And she had pity on him and said, "This is one of the Hebrew children."

The little boy in the basket was none other than Moses, who would one day grow up to be the deliverer of the children of Israel. This child, like many, was earmarked for death by drowning at the command of the cruel pharaoh. Yet the Lord would deliver by drawing him out of the watery grave, placing him in pharaohs house to be raised by his daughter, as a prince of Egypt. As we saw Joseph in the book of Genesis, shanghaied, waylaid, sold into slavery, then imprisoned, we just don't know the course of our life that the Lord has set before us. Like Moses, He's drawn us out of the dark, depths of death, and delivered us to be alive in Christ as children of the Light. Hang on, the ride gets bumpy at times, but He's in control, working His best plans and purposes for our lives.

Women's Prayer - Happens this Saturday the 11th, here at the chapel at 7:30 a.m. Join the men for worship, and then break off with the other ladies in the overflow for a time of prayer.

Don't Take a Prayer Need Home With You - Right after the service, men and women are available to pray for any need you may have. Don't leave church without receiving prayer.

Prayer Points

Lahaina Recovery - Continue to keep in prayer the people of Lahaina and for the entirety of Maui. Long term effects and status of rebuilding, housing for the displaced, job recovery and financial ramifications all come into recovery efforts.

River of Life Mission - Continue to keep the ROLM in prayer during their ongoing outreach into the community. Keep the staff as well as the guests and ministry partners in prayer.

California Wildfire - Continue to pray for the many families affected by the fires.

East Coast - Continue to pray for the ongoing hurricane relief work on the east coast.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem - As the Middle East heats up, pray for the nation of Israel along with all of those in this region who have come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
